I was never big on any FPS. First tried CS i think in 02/03 but never caught on. Tried it a couple more times a year or so ago, same effect. But hey, ppl love it and it's a classic.

I thrive on FPS, killing, polarization of enemies.
That's why I hated games like Portal who didn't have enough blood.
L4Dead though was awesome.

Lol @ L4D ... only FPS I loved was Perfect Dark way back on N64. Aside from that, none really caught my eye. Be it Battlefield or COD.
Games that make you think are awesome. I've actually never tried portal, since the fad started long after my love of gaming died

Yeah I've come across it a lot in comments and suggestions, after playing a ton of Flash games of the same sort lol.

Gaming isnt what it used to be, few years back I could play all day long but now it's more of a burden turning the ps3 on. Even FIFA 12 has become an absolute bore. Glorious were the days of Ps1, Ps2 *tear* ...Call of Duty has killed online gaming
Edit: just seen the gif

frikkin quality

SNES and PS1... those were my heydays.
One of my fav PS1 games was a new rendition of Pong. Freaking gorgeous. Another was Ape Escape. I found that, aside from platform combat games like MvC and the like, my favourite games to play were simple adventure and comical puzzle games. The cost to play fit well with what you got out of it. Now? $400 overall just get called "fag/noob" by some 9yo in Guatemala City, as he camps out blowing your head off with every respawn? Or end up completely embarrassed by a FIFA addict in Prague, losing 23-0 as he laughs at you? Where the hell is the fun in this? I don't get it?

Ape Escape, wow what a classic. I still play it on my Ps1 emulator. I was playing that in 2000 when I was 7 lol

Personaly I loved the Metal Gear Solid series, tekken, Grand Turismo and Socom to name a few.
The last quality games I played were San Andreas and MGS4, as for the online evry game is just trying to be COD...SMH boring much?
All I know is that my gaming love has died and will end with this gen thanks to the mediocre games released.

gramps,
Col, MGS was the closest I've come to enjoying a spy-army related game. Bond series sucked for me. GT

Legendary stuff. Took rally races to a new level. Loved those. Whatever happened to that? I hope these kids still play
actual racing games. I never enjoyed the GTA series. I just don't get it. From 2 - ... whatever number it's at now.
I wouldn't completely knock the gaming industry as it is. It's obviously popular for a reason. I just can't see the hype, yet. I've been meaning to get into Assassin's Creed for years, since it first came out, but could never get myself to make the move. Simply because I'd likely lose interest, and tons of $$$ in the process (getting a system and tv setup). I love the feel and look of that game. It's wonderfully designed. God of War and Prince of Persia were nice plays as well, just not nice enough for me to purchase a system. (Last one I bought was PS1). MvC3 was another push toward buying a PS3. Then again, there's also the whole online costs involved. Whenever I add it all up, I hurt to see the pros losing.
BTW, SF vs Tekken? ... I might really need a system.

GT5 was supposed to come out long ago but they still haven't release it, anyway played the demo and wasn't impressed...nothing like it used to be. San Andreas is the only GTA I enjoyed perhaps because it was all about fun unlike the latest instalment which is just graphics and a bit too realistic for my liking.
Assassins creed is a nice game but gets repetitive quick, I was tempted to by the new one (only because it's set up in the Ottoman Empire

) but decided it wasn't for it. The game industry has gone downhill and puts way too much emphasis on graphics, they have set up ridiculous rules forcing people to play a certain way and limitting what they can do with the product they purchased and 80% o the games out there are FPS Call of Duty wannabees.
By the way Ps3 online is free but dont waste your money on it, it's just not worth it.
