Which image of Somali women do you find most appealing?

Over the past two decades Somali society has changed a lot, and one of those changes has been in the way women dress. I was curious to see how the majority of SNETTERS feel about this change--whether you are satisfied with it or wish to see a return to the older days. Please vote.

I like the second one because it is the sunnah of the Prophet's wives, and is approved by King Abdullah who is my modern day heroe.

Something about those wimminz in hijaab that just attracts me, issit the element of surprise like u marry one of em and when she takes it off comes out looking like gabrielle union. The first one is boring to me.

The first is common EXCEPT with a THICKER Shalmad. The second is accepted and seen as normal even if there may be many Somalis who still feel negative about it, I'm talking back home.

I find it inappropriate for me to usurp the right of women to have free choice. If a woman wants to dress like A, she should have the right and if a woman wants to dress like B, she should have the right.

Making a choice is tantamount to subscribing to cultural fascism.

1st one looks nice, if she wore her masar properly she'd have my vote.

When i see girls like in the second pic I say Mashallah, wearing this in the west must be extremelly difficult yet they still do it. Like Advo said there's also an element of surprise which makes it interesting. But I'd prefer my wife not to wear 1 especially in the west, back home i would be cool with it.

I must abstain myself from voting however I must congratulate you former secular union, I came in this thread expecting a choice between a niqaabi and a half naked xalimo.

Colonel, you disappoint me. You can clearly see, the forearms in the first picture, which is in violation of the female awrah. I hope you are aware of this and reconsider.

suitable ? i think that is entirely up to the women themselves, how they feel, what the believe etc its up to them. if i were to aid them with an opinion i would say, the first one would be the attire a women should choose in a friendly secure environment such as 1980s Mogadisho whiles the second one i would advice her to choose in a not so friendly dangerous or foreign place such as 2012 Baidoa or Harlem New York.
