Yes let us go back to our mather nation help it's reconstruction contribute ti it's peace and stablity help our people and help oursleves by going back to our roots and where We belong, Many of our host countries are strugling themselves economic wise and are in debt like Britain one trillion in debt and money getting short, recession in the corner, no jobs and the situation will be getting worse and worse, our fore fathers and our people has mostly been nomadic always moving the family and the livestock where it rains so We should not stop that tradition and if the situation in the West is not good our childreen are getting lost and have no dicipline and morals let us get out, Somalia the future is bright the country is stll vergin resource wise plus oil is found now and Insha'allah in 4 months time We would be major exporters of oil and one warning let us ask those who want still to come in the west and are taking long journeys on high seas a lot of them loosing their lives.

an Old SL member who was studying Medicine finished, worked and went to Somalia to help the needy ppl, the gul was born out side of Somalia and had no friends in xamar but went to xamar and worked a make shift hospital for voluntary.

Go back to Somalia? Are you crazy? You should be saying THANK GOD for the civil war that brought us out of Somalia and into civilization.

^Somalia was already more civilized than most African countries during the 80s, minus the factions.

No one is going back to Somalia anytime soon, at least the south that is.

You can't go back to a country and try to help them when they can't help themselves.

And besides, thousands have helped and contributed to that country and it all ended up being a waste of time. Countless ended up dead for sacrificing their time and money and resources helping and contributing.

Now, the only country in the world to want to help Somalia is Turkey. It wont be long before some gunman or Al-Shabab terrorist attacks Turkish doctors and nurses. And then? Turkey will realize it was a waste of time and just stop helping Somalis all together (like every country realized).

Then theres the damn piracy issue. These pirates are all scum. Not only do they attack merchant vessels but they attack innocent people on their boats that are enjoying the seas 100km+ away from Somali waters. They went as far as India already.

The countless that are starving due to corrupt politicians not doing their job. A rebel group of less than 10,000 able to control practically half the country due to the fucked up situation. Politicians pocketing millions of dollars to build homes in foreign nations. The list goes on and on and on. No self-respecting Somali wants to go back there. Why risk our lives for people who dont want to change their situation?

That country lost all hope (every corner of it, every city, every province, every whatever). My advice to you is appreciate that you are in whatever Western nation you are in. Get an education, get a good job, pay your taxes, raise a family and be a good citizen.

Well those of us who deserted the country in the first and caused the brain drainage must be responsible the current situation the country is in so We are not blameless.
