Seeing of the picture of cattle just reminded me; Somalis back home refuse to eat beef and chicken and even fish. They regard it as "poor mans food" even though almost all of them live in poverty to begin with.
The meat gets annoying once its goat everyday. They regard beef/chicken/fish as the food of the poor man but they arent able to afford camel meat whenever they want (only special occasions is a camel slaughtered).

I use to think there was no difference between eri/lo'a hilib till two weeks ago i had to buy hilib and when get there am like give me some of that meat not knowing what it was when i showed it to my mum she was this is lo'a am like so what? adaa cuneeysid then i cook thinking whats the big deal blaaaaayo thing is like dhagax walahi it never cooked and when it was done mala ruugi karo
i had to make twi suugo
