It should be forbidden to deny that Somalia is a failed state, just like denying the holocaust can get you arrested.

It's not somalia that's failed, it's the somalis who failed.

Reread that sentence and realize how retarded you are.

His sentence is far from retarded. But I disagree.

Somalia is a collapsed state, not failed. Somalis and the freemarket go well with each other.

It ain't my fault you can't understand beyond the obvious. Reread it again and try to understand where I am going with it.

I get that you're trying to say that it's the Somalis who failed Somalia, but one can also claim that Somalia has failed the Somalis, which is why Somalis have been reinventing themselves in the last 2 decades of statelessness.

The State attempted to murder any opposition, it enforced rule on those who wished otherwise, it accepted manipulation from outside, it used tribal divisions as a means of progression, etc.

States most often do this. Somalis are better off stateless, if that is the only option.

For shizzle alpha. States or countries are nothing but pieces of lands. They can neither talk nor enforce shyt. It's the people who have done all that you mentioned which farther proves my point that we failed somalia but never the inverse. Differentiate between the two.

No, the State is not the people. State is not land. It is an intangible entity; an idea.. no, an ideology.

How has what I said supported your comment? The State acted in accordance of selfpreservation. It did what it could to continue it's own existence. It collapsed in on itself, by stretching further than it could grab.

I knew you were going to say that. Then clearly we're not on the same page. It's just much better to say the people failed us rather than the country.
