London Conference On Somalia Concludes Without A Word From Somaliland

London(Qarannews)- The London conference of Somaliland has just concluded without a single speech or word from the President of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud "Siilaanyo:.

When the meeting begin this morning the head of the transitional federal government, Sheikh Sharif gave a speech in Somali which gave a background on the current situation in Somalia. Sheikh Sharif gave a speech which was well received by the gathered dignitaries and observers.

However, there was never a plan to allow the Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud "Siilaanyo" to address the gathered dignitaries, and therefore Somaliland's contribution was limited to just attending the conference.

As from today, in the eyes of the international community Somaliland will be seen as a self-governing regional authority of the defunct "Somali Republic", and not a democratic, independent and sovereign state.
   Thanks to the bungling policies of the current administration, once again, Somaliland has managed to give away its hard won and cultivated democracy and progress without a single thing in return.

The London conference on Somalia was addressed by several dignitaries and concluded by the British Prime Minister David Cameron. Accorrding to our reporters, the main conclusion of the meeting is to implement the recent Garowe 2 accord in Somalia, create a constituent assembly to replace the tfg at the end of August 2012, and subsequently gather the two nations that joined together in 1960, Somaliland and Somalia for a discussion on their future relationship.

Although, ostensibly the London conference was on Somalia, those who stated that there was nothing in it for Somaliland had been correct.

Our sources report that the Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud "Siilaanyo" left the conference in a deep funk. Somaliland erstwhile Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omar was not available for comment.

This Conference was about putting muscle behind the Garowe Principles 1 iyo 2. The Garowe Principles was mentioned over 20 times.

If Somaliland leaders disagree with the Garowe Principles 1 iyo 2 they will face travel bans iyo sanctions. I believe Hillary Clinton Made that one clear.

What are the Garowe Principles? It's the Federalism of Somalia and State powers. No more centralized Government power in Somalia every again.

How can Somaliland come against it's empowerment as a State within Somalia. Somalilanders can keep their Government, and leaders but as Hillary Clinton said corporation is a must from all entities working towards peace, which itself is the Garowe Principles. Talk About A Political Trap!

I actually feel real bad for Siilaanyo. I mean it is not like he could refuse this conference made by Somaliland's main donor funders and with the participation of all those dignatories (it is not it was Emgathi or Carta conferences) but they told him to his face "you will have an opportunity to tell your story".

He didn't even get to talk to the world. Just hushed up and made to grace the conferences as "about Somalia" with the participation of all of "Somalia's regions not under terrorist control" as Cameron put it.

They probably said let's not let him ruin the spirit of the conference about SOMALIA with silly talks about more division, sectarianism, and especially secession.

Add that to the fact UN Secretary-general, the African presidents, Cameron and Clinton all stressed the unity and territorial integrity of Somalia in their speeches and press statements.

Waar Wuxu wa idiots. If Somaliland Recognition is not on the table , then why come to the Conference and act stupid about the only option made left for you? Working within Somalia among the up coming states.

Somaliland fits perfectly in line with a Federal Somalia that's currently in the works. These fuckers have no way out.

I think Silence was the best policy for Siilaanyo, considering speaking of a separate Somaliland is a no go option. Imagine if he was speaking about Somali and it's progress, etc. How would he look to his government, his supporters, like a traitor. Now he can say he was lied to, and that they had other agenda in mind when they invited us. This is the second best option he could have other than speaking about Somalilands plight and aspirations.

Most of the smart Somalilanders know the ugly reality that came out of this Conference. Siilaanyo is said to not to be feeling too well this evening. :|

This is pathetic do you even read what you write?

this is your private fantasies that you masturbate to and you fill this stupidity in the forums.

This really shows your character, you have no concern for Somalia or its progress,
you ignore the main theme of the conference and you immediately jump at your Somaliland fantasies..

i suggest you calm down and take a breath.

Somaliland is here to stay you better get used to it.

I disagree, i thought Silanyo was a seasoned politician but he proved otherwise. As you said the issue wasn't secession, but he should've spoken about how Somaliland could do her part in fighting the pirates, famine and all Somalia's problem. A simple sentence as ' we as the republic of Somaliland' could do wonders and put them on the map. But sitting there and not saying anything isnt beneficial. The guy should've spoken and tell the entire world the vision of Somaliland in solving the problems of Somalia-which was the theme of the conference. If he wasnt allowed to speak and share Somaliland's view with the world, he should've boycot it.
