The article said
2 years to complete that community, not 4.
Also, when doing mass projects like that, shops, schools, factories, plants, and other institutions are built that not only generate money, commodities, and skills - but they create jobs too. Let the Chinese build for you, but the locals will occupy what is built. Let the Chinese build a school, the locals will teach there. Let the Chinese build a factory, the locals will work there. That's the jist of it, at least in Angola.
This is what that community's final result looks like today. It was literally open wilderness in just 2009. 2 years = this:

Wow the chinese really are good, they have bult a few projects in Dubai, but allot of the projects are done by South Korean and European firms with local sub contractors.
and 2 years was the standard speed of development in Dubai, at least durring the boom years between 2001 and 2008
I own an apartment in a smaller development that has about 65,000 people and this was built in 2 years

Am not interested in these get quick rich schemes, but am intrested in concept that monk of mogaidhsu is propagating which is a mind set based upon high aims and practical solutions.
monk of mogadishu is directing us towards a "shining city upon a hill"
here is a hym that dominated british mind for ages, monk of mogadishu is really advocating to us somalis, that there is a "Green and pleasant Land" in the horizon and we can excape from "Dark Satanic Mills"(poverty, civil war)
I think we have found a ideology to replace the concept of somaliwayn that united us against a common enemy, I think the quest for prosperity we unite us all.
Jerusalem Hymn
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountain green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark satanic mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem (monk of mogadishu aim)
In England's green and pleasant land.
