Mass Texts

Post by Alphanumeric »

Do you respond to these? Especially the "Eid Mubarak"s. I despise em. Do you respond to mass text invites? How about mass text invites? I guess those should be a bit more tolerable, but I don't like them any more. I was invited via mass text for a wedding today, but I won't be missed, I'm sure.

Whatever happened to the personal feel of emails? Such are days long gone.

salool,

You're a better human being than I am. I find those offending. I dunno why.

I always reply to invites because I'm not sure if they are mass, unless they say say 'salams everyone' or some other giveaway. Even if they do, when people are planning an event they need a sort of heads up on how many people will be there. a simple "thanks for the invite, congrats and inshaAllah ill see you there" takes two seconds

A head count a week before the event? Lol, I doubt it. You're guilty of this, aren't you? :D

 the last event i put on had to have the guest list increased by 150% the morning of. Even if it is the week of and you're positive its mass, it could be that they really want you there but have no time for a personal invite.

Not mass in the sense it is to all ma contacts but i do send a uniform greeting msg for eid/ramadhan.

I reply to them mainly kinda like rsvp sense. If it is an event,i might ask if i need to bring something.

Lol @ They really want you there.

Beans,

Nice way to humanize "mass text" by suggesting it's a "uniform greeting message" lol

Sometimes I used to think they were personal texts and would respond in a "personal" way. Embarrassing.

What is more annoying is those BBM broadcasts. But i'm finally off that phone. Androids are lightyears ahead of that piece of junk

The worst ones are mass texts from folks on your contacts, but they've purposely left you out of it.

You find out when an acquaintance informs you lol
