They're not burning through their charcoal supply. They're burning through their TREES.
And this has been happening long before al-Shabaab.

True and false. There are various methods aside from the expensive conventional photovoltaics.

I don't know. She said it should be outlawed because of that.

Actually I just realised that I never knew charcoal = burned tree. Should have been obvious :|

Al jazeera is being deceptive. Qatar, kuwait and Saudi arabia buys the charcoal, although they have enough energy to supply for themselves. They are supporting Al shabab by buying the charcoal al shabab sells.

According to Wikileaks 2009, sheikh sharif spoke to the Italian foreign minister and told them that Qatar was funding Al shabab.

And hillary clinton in the london conference said "unfortunately some countries are still supporting Al shabab through Finance. And its the gulf wahabi states, but Qatar is more active.

Of course the Arabs are funding al-shabaab. They've been funding every damn insurgent group there is.

True, fool. Solar power will not be an attractive alternative for another 15 years. Even Germany has canceled its solar power program for precisely that reason.
