It could be an old news for news chunkies...

The Taliban has vowed to seek revenge against what it called "American savages" after a U.S. Army sergeant went on an apparent shooting spree in southern Afghanistan, killing 16 Afghan villagers, many of them children.

U.S. and Afghan officials say the U.S. soldier walked off his base and attacked homes in the Panjwai district of Kandahar province early Sunday, shooting and killing civilians. Villagers say he set some of the bodies on fire.

The funny thing is if this US soilder is ever sentenced in US it will be not more than 2 yrs just like the others but most likely he will be free as they will use a loop hole in the judicial system making him having committed these acts while he was temporarily insane. Thus will walk free and will not even be classified as threat to the public in the US.

C'mon , not trying to defend uncle sam here , but nobody can say he is not insane , specially when you have a wife and 2 kids waiting for you at home .
This guy has done more damage to his country in one night than any credit he could have enjoyed in all his years of service
