Excuse me for my ignorance but what is Khaatumo? I don't follow somali news and it seems that every year there is a word/term/concept which enters the somali political discourse

its a newly TFG recognized state that lies in between Somaliland and Puntland, it has long been fighting for its rights to self governance and self determination under the name SSC. Khatuumo is currently engaged in a war with Somaliland over its territory the last of which were the Buuhoodle war that took place at the beginning of this year. It is also engaged in another front with Puntland as it claims the territory for itself.
