Witnessed the craziest thing at my college today

My hall mates and I were studying in the lounge, which is sort of a communal studying/hangout area. Everyone was just hanging out when one of the cooler kids in the hallway walks in sipping a water bottle. A girl asked him if he was actually drinking it or just holding it near his mouth. To show her, he decided that it would be funny to spit a little bit out on to her. A little got on her leg and everyone laughed. It was ballsy but I didn't think that he had went too far. Our resident adviser (RA) was in the room, and for those that don't know, an RA is an older student that lives in hallway with younger students for guidance and supervision purposes. Ours is a bit of a pushover. The RA turns to the student and says something jokingly to him. The student then proceeds to spring over to the RA from the other side of the lounge and spit a mouth-full of water on to his face. Afterwards the RA's face was baffled, and embarrassed at what just happened. Keep in mind that if he reacted to the student he would be compromising his RA position which allows him to live on campus for free. Everyone was hesitant to scorn the student for his actions because of his reputation. He actually is a really nice guy that is funny and is usually the one that stands up for people that can't for themselves. He's my boy actually, but I just can't defend what he did. It was very unlike to him to do that. I have never seen someone disrespected so badly, though. So I now turn to you all. How would you have reacted?

There are a lot of things i can tolerate and have tolerated most recently. But someone delibaretely spitting out a load of water at my face is below the belt. It hasnt happened to me and havent seen such a thing happen for a long time and i consider it a very low and filthy act. I just envisioned such a thing being done to me and i can only imagine myself reacting by swiftly punching him in the face.
