When the news about the extent of oil and gas in Gedo

Post by Voltage »

When the news about the extent of oil and gas in Gedo gets out (and the information is already being spread) what do you think it will result in politically for reer Gedo? Do you think it will motivate them strongly to form an administration? How will it change the worldview of reer Gedo? How will Somalia as a whole benefit?

The questions are endless and the results can only be dreamed of. :som:

Personally Murax, I think it will be a wake up call of immense proportions. How could we be in the heart of the oil and gas rich Mandera-Lugh basin and few of us know of the riches underneath except for some few people in the former Siad Barre government who were involved with concessions during the late 80's? It is mind-boggling when you think of it.

It is, but rest assured even if the people of the region don't know, Oil companies definitely know. Inshallah this will be enough to galvanize Reer Gedo and Jubaland. Inshallah once Baardheere falls I think things will be on the up and up.
