One of the best things to air on television. It's in my top 5.

Also the worst cancellation of all time.

PS. Nathan Fillion should've been the Green Lantern.

Lol. I was actually talking about shows based on a story line of some sort, with movie like scenes, not the typical Friends, How I met your mother etc, they are OK but not really anything compared to Movie like TV series.

You might, might like Kings. Another short lived series. Though it depends on how much you can handle of blasphemous plot lines

Alpha I am amazed you didn't include Heroes in neither of your list, you pretty much covered all my interest, I have been a Dr. Who fan for some time, my little sister introduced me to th great Doctor and I have been hooked ever since, although I haven't watched months. I watch series but if I come across 2 or 3 consecutive mediocre episodes I sort forget about the series and only watch it again when everyone starts yapping on about it.

What do you propose, Firefly first or the movie Serenity ?

Heroes was nice, but it was a mediocore show at its core. There was nothing unique or spectacular about it. The cliffhanger endings of the episodes were also annoying. I told everyone that it would be canceled shortly after the writers strike, and lo-and-behold. I stopped watching it before the writers strike, and didn't continue afterward.

Doctor Who is another fav of mine.

Serenity was a result of the show being canceled. Fans were persistent in asking for a second season (and certainly several more that would've followed), but unfortunately Joss Whedon had to opt for a movie. Watch the series first.

firefly was the best scienfiction show on tv for many years.
Its the only thing i rate better than Stargate SG1 and i am a major Gatter.

Alpha I just finished Firefly, and also watched Serenity, Awesome show. I actually think the cancellation was good, it had a good ending, I'd hate to see a good show end bad, like what happened with Lost.

firefly the short lived series was great. i was pissed when they cancelled it. i stopped watching heroes after the 2nd season but my all time favourite is SG1 and of course the startrek series.
