Looks like I was right about the update. They tried to test with one method but it didn't work so they are using another testing method to confirm. So far they've encountered oil and gas at every level for like the past 1,000 meters, they're just looking to verify it with proper testing methods. This is what Horn Petroleum's CEO added in the statement:
We are encouraged by the results to date and pleased that we have confirmed the presence of an active petroleum system in the Dharoor Valley. We look forward to drilling ahead into the primary objectives of the well and hope to confirm the shallow prospective zones by testing in the near future.
In any case we should hear something soon since the company is already ready to move the drill to target #2:
Upon completion of this well, the Company plans to move the rig to the Shabeel North location on which construction is nearing completion.

Dude from what i have read the (onshore) dharoor and nugaal hold some 10billion barrels, but from the rumours i heard the real prize is in the (offshore) nugaal to be on point
just of the eyl and bander beyla coasts. is there any truth to that? and if so all together how what's the estimate reserve puntland has?
