I really really REALLY love this guy been secretly with him for over 5 years but my family will disapprove of him and now I am on the verge of loosing the love of my life or moving on with him to get married without my families blessings this is the worst position to be put in please someone anyone advice me on what to do?

What the hell? Is qabiil a caste-system or something? As long as he's somali and a good man, marry whoever you want. I would prefer my daughter to marry a somali guy than some cadaan or madow loser.

For the sake of this thread I will leave both his and I's qabiils out although some may already guess what I am lol but no seriously though I know it is my life but I refuse to make such a big decision as marrying someone to be only my decision I want someone hooyo and aboo would approve of after all that is the least I can do for them bringing me into this world

Yes some parents still care about qabiil if you think about it bullshit woth qabiil started when our parents were our age watching their parents and granparents suffer so they have a right to be mad or even hate hell I would too if I witnessed something that extreme

First of all you should always always obey your parents no matter what, they only want what's best for you. You might not realize it now. Don't ever disrespect your parents' wishes for some man, who will eventually leave you for another woman. Introduce him to your family first, let them meet him and let them see him for who he really is, it might actually surprise you that they will accept him. If they don't approve of him, then you know who to choose, YOUR PARENTS.
