OK. My mistake.Perfect_Order wrote:Not even that.
interesting move. But if it comes from God, then the believers are the only ones that are moral because they look up to God for morals. An atheist does not believe in God and he'd therefore miss the morals from God since he doesn't believe in one which would make his actions immoral.Perfect_Order wrote:![]()
I didn't say you have to be a believer to be moral.
What is your definition of morals?eliteSomali wrote:interesting move. But if it comes from God, then the believers are the only ones that are moral because they look up to God for morals. Why are we making this a personal issue? I don't think what he believes is in question, but only the general source of morality. Unless I misunderstood the OP.Perfect_Order wrote:What is your definition of morals?
People really need to stop doing this.Aasli wrote:No, it depends on your upbringing and what kind of person you are. Just look at the Al Shabab they are very religious and also one of the least moral in Somalia
Remember the story in the Quran about the very religious muslim woman who abused her cat and the prostitute who was kind to a dog? The prostitute went to haven and the muslim cat lady went to hell.
Morality depends on how you were raised. Religion can help, but you can still be moral and good without it.
I'm only making this a "personal issue" as far as to understand what is his definition of moral. I want to just define the term in it's most basic sense so as to proceed without misunderstandings.Alphanumeric wrote:Why are we making this a personal issue?
