24 Hour Bug

I woke up feeling little bit throat irritation and went to university,everything was cool until afternoon.in the evening i started this "Hard cough" stuff which was very painful.i couldnt stand i called my roommate and we went to the doctor.after x-ray test,he said no need to worry and this is normal flu due to changing seasons and that i needed to take a rest.he prescribed some medicine and i went home and went to sleep.i spent 24 hours in bed and hurray! i am fine now.the only terrible thing was after the hard cough stopped,i started to vomit occasionally which almost dehydrated me.i get this stuff TWICE per year. anyone else seen this?
