Somalia's blessing
Is it's lack of infrastructure. These London 2012 building projects got me thinking. Most of the major cities in the world have aging infrastructure which means expensive projects in updating and renovating. Meanwhile, we can build state of the art railway and road-systems for a fraction of the cost. This is the only time somali laziness paid off.

I dont see any of that happening, i dont know about new cities but places like Xamar Hargeysa and bosaaso seems like the width of the roads and stuff like that are set, these cities will be build while the country is still poor.

Re: Somalia's blessing
Talking about width...why do Somalis squeeze businesses and roads close together given the size of the country?
Why lay the foundations for future slums?

Re: Somalia's blessing
True. Many developing countries often have more impressive buildings and projects than old European countries. Construction technologies have become a lot more advanced (for example, the infrastructure in Gulf Arab countries is superb).abdi.ismail wrote:Is it's lack of infrastructure.
