Embarrassing things Somali brides do.

Post by Hepburn »

Why do Somali brides wear Hindi wedding outfits? You don't see Hindi's wearing our clothes? Also let's stop wearing the wedding gowns damnit. Our culture is slowing dying, and some of us are dragging it on the floor.

I will wear this for my wedding ceremony insha'Allah.

I think Somali girls should wear anything besides the Anglo white wedding dress.

sorry to burst your bubble but "somali culture" is nothing but a hybrid of arab, indian and traditional nomadic culture. i see nothing wrong it.

I like the two first pictures very nice, I would really get excited if my future wife had ideas like these but at the end of the day it is more likely she will go for untraditional western theme and dresses.

the last wedding I went to the bride changed clothes 3 times, and it has become kind of the new culture for a few years, they wear western, hindi and carab.

I would really appreciate if the traditional theme and dress started to trend now since I am probably going to get married within the next 4 years.

That became the standard nowadays from Somali to Asian to Carab.

What's a guntiino?
