Cats catching mice
My cat just caught and killed a mouse, brought it in the house, took it upstairs and started playing football with it! I only noticed when she kicked it down the stairs!
I shouted at her to take it outside, which she did, then I followed her out so I could see where she decided to leave it (so I could clear it away later). When I got outside I heard some squeaks and realised she was trying to catch another mouse. I took the cat inside and the mouse ran under the shed, so now I won't let the cat out in case she catches it.
I know you're not meant to tell them off for catching mice as it's their instinct etc, but it really upsets me. On the other hand I've never seen one mouse in our garden before let alone two, so I'm worried there may be more, in which case I guess I should let the cat catch them. What does everyone think, should I let the cat out and let nature take its course, as it were, or should I try to stop her killing them??

For some reason the entire forum was cracking me up.
