I sympathize with the pirates...if western ships weren't dumping their crap on somali waters then piracy would have never started

Exactly, somalis are too busy fighting themselves to realize foreigners are taking advantage of their territory. Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa and is the link between europe and the far east yet we're the poorest country in the worldabdi.ismail wrote:That wouldn't happen if brain-dead somalis had a government that protected their territorial waters.bariis567 wrote:I sympathize with the pirates...if western ships weren't dumping their crap on somali waters then piracy would have never started

The shipping line that passes the Somali coast is the busiest and most important in the entire world, it's ridiculous how we don't benefit from that, except for our pirates of course.bariis567 wrote:Exactly, somalis are too busy fighting themselves to realize foreigners are taking advantage of their territory. Pirates may have had an excuse at first, but now not only do they enter other waters but also hijack harmless foreign ships including Somali ones as well, like the recent ship heading for Sl and the businessmen who had to pay $300K as ransom plus have their goods on board looted... out of order.
