Again, it depends on the job, whether white color or blue color.
Are you asking about an office worker, 9 - 5 or a laborer?

your question is ridiculously broad, good or bad doesn't depend entirely on income, you know what I mean. So you need to be more specific, for starters, where in the UK are we talking about, is it a part-time or full-time Job and do you have a family to support or not.
if your a Londoner £2500 is good anything above that is well good, it covers living, transport, can sustain a medium family and there is plenty left to save at least 10% of the income.

Mondey, seedi.
I used to live in England and familiar with the living standards. These are my two cents;
If you want to live in London (not the surburbs like Sussex, Essex etc), you don't own property and don't have a friend to give you accomodation, you need at least to make 52 000 Pounds a year. Housing is expensive; 1-2 bedroom apartments cost approximately 400 pounds a week ( almost 25000/year). Transport and utilities are expensive too. I was offered a job in the heart of London but I had to decline it (they offer London allowance but that is not enough).
There are other ways; you rent a room from a somali (who is probably living on welfare), you buy your home, get a council home or you live outside London where it will take you about an hour to commute .
In a nutshell the answer to your question is related to what kind of jobs your are looking for;
Most somalis earn 200-300/a week before tax. They can live on this because the family usually lives on welfare (social security).
Read; non skilled jobs.
White collars earn between 350-450/week.

"Good" as in sustainable? Good as in what's good for a single individual? Good as in what's good for a household? Good as in what's good for a household of five, or good as in good for a household of nine? Or good as in good?

Blitz,
You sound like a professor of mine awhile back; he hated adjectives; He will always ask; how good is good? How high is high? How nice is nice?

Like everyone said, you have to be more specific.
