Absame elders: Loyal to the TFG
I have never really understood why these old farts are the quickest to come to grand meetings in which they are shown neither respect nor status The Absame in Somalia neither compete for the presidency, the PM position, or the speaker. It seems those positions are reserved for certain clans. Its hard to fathom why the Absame should support the TFG, their people are not even recognized as Somali citizens according to the latest constitution in which the elders are suppose to be ratifying. The Absame currently have no real position within the TFG, nor will they likely get any. Would it not make sense then to opposte the TFG. It seems only those who give the middle finger to the TFG are given special status.

When you live amongst wolves, the "miskeen" will be slaughtered. This wasnt always the story. I believe the ONLF movement and the Ethiopian wars in the Ogaden have forced the Absame to take a back seat in much of what has been happening in Somalia the last 20 years. This was largely due the influence and power of Meles, but he longer holds such clout alone. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Absame in Somalia.31.Suldaan Cabdi Suldaan Cali Sokor- beesha Maxamed Subeer
32.Suldaan Faarax Suldaan Cusman (Nageeye) – beesha Maqaabul
33.Ugaas Hussein Ugaas Cismaan (Nur) – beesha Tolomooge
34.Ugaas Maxamed Ugaas Hassan (Shangolow) – beesha Bahgari
35.Ugaas Cumar Ugaas Xiireey- beesha Cawlyahan

They have to other countries where they can look for positions in government, let the others fight over Somalia.
Re: Absame elders: Loyal to the TFG
Somali elders are useless in general, i'm afraid there is no exception for ours. Time for these old men to step aside and let the young folk take over.
However the TFG is a joke, giving them our alliance won't benefit us at all. The gun will benefit us.

What a silly comment.greenday wrote:They have to other countries where they can look for positions in government, let the others fight over Somalia.

THey're deeply rooted in Kenyan and Ethiopian politics but that shouldn't hinder them from taking active roles in somali politics. Afteral, they are dominant in lower jubba and live middle jubba as well as throughout the rest of somalia.greenday wrote:They have to other countries where they can look for positions in government, let the others fight over Somalia.

Am sure their numbers are not as big as in the other countries and there is a reason why they are not in the Somali politics more, you always put effort into where you can get more benefit or where useful. Every clan has few leaders and when you divide in three countries meel una ubadneeysin.eliteSomali wrote:THey're deeply rooted in Kenyan and Ethiopian politics but that shouldn't hinder them from taking active roles in somali politics. The Cawlyahan should be allowed to be the head of Absame affairs in Somalia, the Maxamed Subeer in Ogaden, and the Tolomoge in Kenya. The lack of unity and coordination is one cause of the problem.

Re: Absame elders: Loyal to the TFG
Absame to it's entirety might not be concentrated in somalia, but their number is proportional to that of any other clan. Besides are you suggesting that we marginalize any clan that's numerically insignificant?greenday wrote:Am sure their numbers are not as big as in the other countries and there is a reason why they are not in the Somali politics more, you always put effort into where you can get more benefit or where useful. Re: Absame elders: Loyal to the TFG
I noted! That's not what I suggested at all. Personally, I believe in one somalia. As axiomatic as the impossibility of that might seem, I have hopes and until then, I'll hold all talks of mamuul goboleeds in abeyance. After I lose hope in somaliwayn, then we can talk about who rules where.Colonel wrote:I'm being sarcastic.eliteSomali wrote:Are you say we should or we shouldn't?Colonel wrote:^ We're the biggest clan in the Jubbas but we shouldn't be involved in the ruling of the region...

Re: Absame elders: Loyal to the TFG
First of all just so you know Maxamed Subeer (Reer Abdille) is bigger in Somalia than Cawlyahan. And secondly who the hell cares who leads us? Its crap like this that's the reason we're so divided in the first place. They should get the best person for the job to represent us, forget about the damn sub clans.Talo alle udaa wrote:The Cawlyahan should be allowed to be the head of Absame affairs in Somalia, the Maxamed Subeer in Ogaden, and the Tolomoge in Kenya. @Elite - The comment wasn't directed at you sxb.
You still believe in Somaliweyne? C'mon son there's no such thing. The balkanisation of Somalia - one way or another - is on its way, now is the time for each tribe to secure their lands.
If we cannot even be in charge of our ancestral lands in the Jubbas then we might aswell commit mass suicide.
