I cannot say no to people who look me in the eyes and ask me for couple of dollars and for some reason weey iga muuqataa because these beggers bypass like 10 people in the streets just to approach me lol. I promised myself I would not give them sh!t but last night I got approached by a somali crackhead with teary eyes and he begged me til I felt uncomfortable "please muslim baan ahay....for the sake of allah spare some change etc", I give it to them to feel less guilty but what I should be more concerned about is supporting their lifestyle

I have the same exact problem but now imagine being in Africa... They know me very well but i make the intention that every penny(shilling) will be the one that gets me over the cross line on Judgement day.

Aniga when it comes to dadka tuugsanaa i always give them something specially if they r old or women, I jst tell my self that Allah had the ability to give them something but he is examining us and wana how we behave, sometimes also u have to give them something in order them to leave u alone.

Nevertheless that is not my weakness.

I stopped paying any attention to beggars, because a few years back I landed this job so I made a promise to myself to give money to any beggar/busker that I passed by. Until one day, when a homeless man selling the BIG ISSUE magazine cheated me out of my change even though I told him he could keep the magazine and the pound. There's a Somali crackhead here who used to live in my neighborhood back in the day and used to actually kick it with my older bro, so he's seen me grow up. Whenever I see him downtown, he always comes up to me on some "oh snap, wuddup ______! Shiiiit Wallahi I remember u when u were a young buck, dayum...listen, lacag ma heesaa, I'm starving my nigga and I'm tryna cop a plate" shit. Everytime I give him the same answer "haye if ur hungry I'll buy u whatever ur tryna eat, let's go" and he always complains that I'm treating him like a bitch by not giving him the money, lakiin I know the first thing he's gonna do is go around the corner and get a 20 piece. If he's really using the money for something other than crack, offer to buy it for him and you'll be stress-free either way (u didn't say no and you didn't support his habit).
