Hyper iyo dadkiina kale oo af carabiga yaqaana!

Post by Lamagoodle »

Waxaan doraad gaarigeeyga/fatuuradeeyda/baabuurkeeyga u geeyey nin ”Carab” ah si iigu sameeyo. Af carabta sidaasi isugu ma fiicnin. Dhowr sanno kahore maba kala saari karin quraanka iyo af carabiga. Jornaalada af carabiga ku qoran xataa kuwa aflaanta ”Boorka” loo yaqaano waan qadarin jirey.

Akhristow ninkaan carabka ah markuu fiiriyey gaarigeeyga ayuu hal mar la soo boodey ”Xabiibi…..”.

Intaan naxay ayaan dib u booday; gaariga ayaan si xoog leh saliid u siiyey. Waxaan soo xasuustay sheeko hadda ka hore la ii sheegay; nin reer Buuhoodle ah ayaa loo sheegey in aduunka aay joogaan dad rag ah oo isu tago.

Waxaan u sheegey in maanta ni carab ah igu yiri ”Xabiibi” anigoo ku daray; war nacaska inaan ku janno tago ayaan ku sigtay.

Intuu i waanin lahaa ayuu la soo booday ” akhi shahwad” baa ku haaysa ee is deji!

Ballo! Ka darro dibi dhal; anigu waxaan shahwad/shaawo u aqaana manida!

Markaasan ku iri war sheeqow adiga iyo carabta waad af xuntihiin; Maxaa idinku dhacay Katolikana ma tihiine?

Akhristow, kelmada “Xabiibi” waagu geyiga soomaliyeed nabad ah waxaa loo isticmaali jirey shukaansiga naagaha.
Reer koraadka waxaay shukaansiga u yaqaanan ”xodxodosho” ama ” dhallinyareeys”..

Inta aaysan soomaaliga dibada ku soo badnaanin waxaay caadadu ahayd in ragga reer magaalka ah, yacni beeysaaniga ah, isticmaalaan kalmadaha ”xabiib” (carabiga) ”amoore” (talyaani), ”my loof” Ingiriis si aay qalbi nugeeyl ugu helaan ileen naagaha waay iska qalbi jilicsanyihiine

Reer baadiyaha, reer koraadka iwm waxaay isticmaalaan ”naayaa” ”islaan yaahay” iwm ileen waay af adag yihiine.

Waxaan idin weydiyey dadkiina afka carabta yaqaana; xabiibi ragga ma is dhehaa? Kelmad ”shahwad” bal ka warama iyada?

lol i couldnt read all but i read until ”Xabiibi…..”.

it's just expression. do not try to translate in any other language. it doesnt mean "my love" or ny thing. we use it as " ya akhi" o kale. if was woman or shokansi, he would say " habiibty". i stopped calling somalis habibi cause they give me that look

Hyper, is it common for men to address each óther using "Xabiibi"? Because somalis usually use "xabiibi" for women.

and what does "shahwad" mean?

It amuses me when I see a man calling another man "xabiibi"

Also it turns me off when a Somali guy uses "xabiibi" on me as a form of shukansi, first of all it's not "xabiibi" it's "xabiibtey" and 2nd it just doesn't sound natural coming from a somali dude, leave that thing to the Arabs and use "macaanto"

Nabeela, true: it is disgusting when men call each other "Xabiibi". But, when it comes to somalis using "xabiibi" see it as a romantic gesture because foreign words portray love

Hyper, if that is the case , how come somalis use "Xabiibi" for women?

ES, surely words carry alot of weight!

Onemansquad, waxaan ku sigtay inaan ku janno tago markuu i yirey sidaasi   Af soomaaliga "xabiibi" naagaha la shukaansado ayaa la yiraahda.

Hyper, what does shahwo mean? I have seen many somalis use it. People like me, the lamagoodles, use this word to mean meni (sp-erm) But, I have seen alot of sheikhs use to. I don't think they are horny, so it must mean something else in arabic

its a different culture.. saying "Habibi" is like saying "saaxiib" it can be said to anyone.. Somalis don't take things out of context.. holding hands is normal, and two males kissing on cheeks for greeting is also normal in that culture.

Yes holding hands waa normal back home, laakin not here, and Somalis still do it here, I cringe every time I see labo nin oo gacmahaa is heesato at the mall :|
