adan cadde was not illiterate, i have seen videos of him speaking english and italian. if he wanted he could stay in the power because the chief army was his cousin general daauud the man in the abakar20s avatar who defeated ethiopia in 1964 but he left the office willingly after 6 years of a democratic rule without one single politician being arrested let alone being killed.

somalia only really ever had two presidents in retrospective whose credibility can be assessed fully, waa aden cadde iyo siad barre. now the question which stands today is, those men were around decades ago, when technological progress and critical thinking was not even in its prime stages. how is it that leaders today cannot do better for their people

afisoone, aden cadde was a simple man. at least in those years he kept somalia stable and progressive, and there is yet to be a president who showed better diplomacy and political skill, both in the domestic arena and the global arena, than aden cadde.
