First we need a stabilizing mechanism that would carry us through the end of the current TFG mandate .{breathing space}
2/ We should approach this as a regional matter . There are 3 big regional distinctions in Somalia .
You've got the Northerners , the Midlanders {bari/mudug} and the Southerners . When you talk to a somali you can pretty much pin point him in one of these 3 categories .
In my capacity of Isaaq , I know what dhulbahante and the warsangeli want . Now whether we shall come to a long lasting agreement is another issue , but at least I know what they're saying { or what they have been saying all along , which is maintaining the territorial integrity of Somalia}.
I would encourage the majeerten {Daarood}and the Sacad{ Hawiye} to open up and talk to each other---> the goal here is to have them form a political alliance that would reflect the Isaaq+gadabursi+dhulbahante .
Then , at the same time , we should sit together the mareexan woth the D&M , somali bantu , Ogaden Abgaal, etc,e

there are 4 big tribes in Somalia that pretty much cause everybody else a problem.
the Hawiye, the D&M, the Isaaq, ther Daarood.
Geographical disposition has massed the Isaaq together , there is nothing one can do about it .
The Daarood by an act of God are concentrated in a northern sub-branch and a southern sub -branch .
The D&M and the Hawiye both enjoy a geographical cohesion right in the middle , but are appearing to be slow in politically organising themselves .
One can either
-support the interest of his sub clan before anything else , thus favoring the establishment of sub clan fiefdoms which in my opnion would bring us backwards instead of forward .
-build on what is relatively speaking working which is the Somaliland model of a multi tribal state , knowing they would ultimately have to give up their "crazy"
dream of separation .
Once we agree on that we can draft a Constitution for a Federal Republic of Somalia and bring the big tribal heads to the masjid al haram for permanent peace before Allah .
