Authentic Somali foods?
You know how:
Baris/ baris dalac somewhat has its roots in Asia.
Spaghetti/Lasagne/ Macoroni in Italy.
Burritos, Quesadilla in Mexico.
etc etc
Do we have any Somali cuisine? I'm looking for something thats just unique to us.
Something like moofa (assuming its 'our thing').
P.s Laxox/canjera is kinda like the Ethiopian injera so lets leave it out.

Re: Authentic Somali foods?
well I call it qureybaad and that's what I was taught to call it, I think most people call it bur but I have heard other names for it too. I'm talking about that cookie looking thing, I always thought bur was that cookie thing people eat during ramadan.
daqiiq is flour, it's an ingredient to make food.
bleachedhime
yeah I have heard it call quraac too.
