Sun Exploration

I was just wondering how come no one has been to the sun. We've been to the moon and stuff. I know the sun is really hot, but why can't they plan ahead and go on the sun in winter time or when it's really dark all year long. Have they not thought of this, or have they already thought of this? They are rocket scientists right..

Maybe there are no blonde blue eyed beauties over there, so the incentive for exploration is low!

That's the way to go, a bottom up approach.

this is how big is the SUn compared the Earth

Image

on this picture you imagine how big is the sun compared to our planet. and the distance of the Sun from the Earth is approximately 149.6 million kilometers this distance light travels from the Sun to Earth in about 8 minutes and 19 seconds.
he Sun was formed about 4.57 billion years ago from the collapse of part of a giant molecular cloud that consisted mostly of hydrogen and helium and which probably gave birth to many other stars.
