Blitzkrieg, I am not sure if you can speak or read Somali, but the Somali langauge is full of derogatory words associated with being female. That is the price women pay for allowing patriarchy to define their essence. Bitch, slut, whore, cunt = girl?

She is the one insulting women.

What she's doing is working with a preexisting language directed towards women, though. Essentially, those words have a preexisting history, a preexisting association with women. Valenti wasn’t the one who linked these words with women. She isn’t saying that women = cunt, but rather that cunt was a word created to insult women and femininity.

What she's saying is that why are the worst insults directed towards men still linked to a language associated with femininity? You can call a man a bastard, but that's still in reference to his mother, the same for son of a bitch, and motherfucker. You can call him a p-ssy, a faggot, a douchebag, but those are still associated with femininity. Why? How often are women called dicks? Have you ever called a woman a d-ck? Have you ever heard a man being called a p-ssy? Which one's more prevalent?
