SHOCKING:arrest has been made in the Eaton Centre shooting
An arrest has been made in the Eaton Centre shooting, Toronto police said Monday.
Police sent a Twitter message at 7 a.m. to announce the arrest and scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. to provide details.
Word came 36 hours after the crowded downtown mall erupted in pandemonium as a man opened fire in a food court, killing one man and wounding six other people.
The suspect is 21 yearl-old Sharmarke ina Gusweyne. Friends of the suspect also have informed The Star newspaper that he is known in the cyperworld as GrandpaKhalif. A fellow cyperworld nemesis of the suspect, who goes by the name of MenaceToSociety, called in our news bureau to state that GrandpaKhalif ones threatened to kill him inside the Eaton centre,a time Menace was visiting the GTA. Our informants also reveal to us that this suspect was an admirer of the maglomaniac absolute monarchy of Saudi Arabia.
“Whether this is a gang-motivated shooting has not been definitely determined,” Det. Sgt. Brian Borg, the lead homicide investigator of the case, said Sunday.
“It is being closely looked at, given that at least one of the victims has known gang associations.”
Police believe a 23-year-old man in hospital in critical condition, with bullet wounds to his neck and chest, may have had gang ties.
The dead man, 24-year-old Ahmed Hassan, was known to police, authorities said. He is the city’s 21st homicide of the year.
He died instantly when the gunman opened fire around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
A 13-year-old boy visiting from Port Hope remained in critical condition with a gunshot would to his head but was improving, police said Sunday.
Four others injured by gunshots were treated and released from hospital.
A seventh person, a pregnant woman apparently knocked over in the panic, spent the night at St. Michael’s Hospital when she went into labour, but the pains stopped and she was released Sunday.
The mall, closed since police evacuated thousands who abandoned bags and food in their rush to safety, was set to reopen this morning.
Motorists forced to leave their vehicles in the centre parking lot will also be able to retrieve them today, police said.

Like I said it was a load of sh1t. Only clueless people eat up that nonsense about gangs. The kids family should demand an apology for the slander they put him through despite being a victim.Police said the shooting was not gang-related, but there were personal factors involved, despite previous statements at least one of the victims had known gang associations.
