I have a feeling something great will come out of this, recognition or not, it's a big step, Sheikh Sharif wants fedarlism like that of the U.A.E, Silaanyo wants a 2 state solution like that of Sudan and southern Sudan, i want Somaliland to have access to international investment and development.

I can't say anymore then that it would require advanced quantum mechanics to gain perspective on the Somali entanglement.

I can understand why recognition is so appealing for Somaliland but international investment and development is not always as good thing and has left many nations in disarray. Many African nations remain 3rd world/developing nations due to Western aid and investments and if Somaliland does gain recognition hopefully they are able to avoid the pit falls of $$$. With that being said I have to say I'm not fond of the idea of multi Somali states in the horn of Africa but my advice for Somaliland is to be patient and continue to build its democratic and social institutions so if it does one day gain independence it will be better prepared for some of the earlier problems I discussed.

Somaliland new advisors must be lauded for changes they made this year. They made a lot of progress in one year compared to the wasteful 20 years. Unfortunately due to high volume of countries at the UN, your recognition will not be granted at this time.
