Male Widower

Post by 1nemansquad »

There isn't a whole lot said about these men or even discussed about in the Somali culture. This topic of male widows isn't openly heard of or hardly ever mentioned, how come? do you know a male widow or someone who lost their wife? if so do they get married shortly after or it takes them awhile to get back?

I was just curious

I have some friends and their mom died in Somali AUN. Their dad raised them all on his own. He got remarried now, but not till they were all pretty much grown.

There are things women do better than men like taking care of internal family business. It wouldn't be a bad idea to remarry so that he can get a helping hand with the kids plus all other benefits that come with the package.

Step-mothers are evil. If a man is smart enough he would raise his kids until they're independent.

In my opinion, I believe that there is no such thing as a 'male widower'. Men are dogs...everyone knows that. Therefore, I believe that once the spouse has died the man will be on his saqajaan game the very next day. In addition to that he will be married AT LEAST a year after his spouse has died. Thus, please spare me this bs.

Not that, but seriously, I know too many people who have been abused by their step-moms.
