Post-Sheikh Sharif Somalia.

Post by The`Republic »

No offense and I think Sheikh Sharif is a nice guy, but what a golden opportunity awaits with new found momentum to take the small hopeful steps Somalia has been taking recently and run with it. We need educated and efficient leaders capable of seizing every opportunity to move the country in leaps and bounds. Onwards Somalia and in a few weeks we hope to see a Somali government without the faces we have become accustomed to the last couple years.

New government, new faces, new opportunities, new country. :som:

I'd love to see a Somalia where the president and parliament is elected by the people and not the interest of the west.

You are taking about a perfect direct democracy and we are hoping for a stage where indirect democracy can be perfected. But to get there we need visionaries and capable leaders and even if they have to come through this current system, they are still better option than what exists now.

I know it is difficult, but if Somalis in Somalia remain monitored closely by the UN & co then they will never be as great as they were before.
