desperately looking for work...

Post by barakaboy10 »

it has been years since i had a decent job. even though i wake up early in the morning ever day and look for work, it has become ever harder to find a good paying job. i guess one of the main reasons contributing to my unfortunate situation is the fact that i am a Muslim and black. i just started to think this way because when jobs are scarce, who do you think will be considered for the job first?

i lost faith in america.

hopefully Somalia's new government will be up and running by the time i am ready to leave this country for good.

TFG already needs you in Mogadishu where the government and somali nation lacks educated people to work for them.

Somalia can take long time to get stable enough and provide work for you.
I heard good stuff about Australia maybe you should consider it.

It can be tough. Don't give in to despair. Try network and keep faith. Moving to a different city for work can be an option many try. Going back to school to get a degree and advance your future prospects is productive too. Your english is excellent. Enroll into a school and get a technical degree.

You should try moving to another city. I hear there is a big surplus of jobs in North Dakota right now with the oil boom. Might not be the most ideal place to live but there are always options out there.

Are you in the US? Are you looking for a summer job or a permanent job related to a degree? Do you have experience related to the work your are looking for?

it sounds cliche but education can set you free. these days the only jobs that are in high demand are those that need qualifications.

Millions of White Christians are as frustrated as you. I would advice you not to think that way.

A few months ago, there was a thread about a white American woman with PHD degree who couldn't find a job (or earned little), and was on food stamps to survive.
