I think its the same everywhere. Don't get confused by Ahlu Sunnah concentrated in one area and Al Shabab in southern Somalia
Majority of people in Somalia, in every region are Sufis.

Awe I freaking love you! Seriously! And yes Bari has the most wadaads, and sheikhs, despite what a belligerent person might say!

Disagree that the majority of Somalis are Sufi or that each region is roughly the same?

Invisible, Disagree that the majority of Somalis are Sufis.
I would've been well-versed in this mystical sect if that was the case seeing that I live around a lot of Somalis.

I meant the Somalis back home. The ones here are either Salafi or just the regular Shaf'i type
I don't know why this is the case though. Are Somalis embarrassed of being Sufis in the diaspora with all the other different ethnic Muslims that might point fingers

all Somalia are suufis. remember wahaabiya come somalia 1980s whit Saudi Oil money. and they spread the country during the civil war. SUUFIYA is still dominant way of islam whole Somalia.. the only reason people think cental somalia has strong suufi presence is those central region of somalia did resistance against WAHAABIYA invation and they won the war agains WAHAABIS. but other regions SUUFI did not do resistance against wahaabi infation..
from Somaliland to buntiland to cental somalia. to mogadishu baydhabo until you come gedo and jubbooyinka all somali way of islam is suufiya and inshalah AL SHABAAB IS last breath of wahabais, SOMALIA 100% is going to back their real islam whichs suufiya ahlu sunnah waljamaaca. and FAKE ISLAM WAHABAIS WHIT SAUDI OIL MONEY AND FAKE ISLAM will be no more in Somalia inshalah coming years...

Not a Somalis are Sufis 65+ percent are Sunnis Ufff allow being Sufi and spinning around and cebrating fake bida celebrations.

Alhamdulilah nearly all Somalis don't label themselves and see themselves as Muslims only. But the ones who follow the innovated path of Sufism May Allah guide them to the correct path Ameen ya Rab!
