I do agree with you brother this guy would make a good president because he sounds very educated.

When I first heard of Abdirahman Abdishakur was back in 2008 when Ethiopia were in the country and he was the voice of mujaahidinta the Asmara camp @ the time and my first thoughts of him hearing every day in the media was "this brother really outspoken and intelligent who can win the hearts and minds of Somali people"

I wish him success. Somalia needs young intelligent men like him.

The problem is that all candidates portray themselves as wadani and educated but once they reach the seat it's a different story. Abdiweli will probably win, not because he's the best man but because the powers that be already know him and can manipulate his ass with ease.

guys, somalia needs a good system more than good presidents.

lol@ most qualified! that term is funny coming from somalis. what runs country is a system that every one follows and adminstration as a whole. indivituals do not make any differentces if tehre is no accountability. siyad bare was way better but he didnt built a system. when he gone the country gone with him!! somalis never learn. doesnt matter who is on the top as long there is a system that is solid and defines each responsibility. faces dont make differences.

I believe Dr. Cumar Salad Diini would be a much better candidate. He never partook in the civil wars, was a skilled administrator as Governor of the Northwest region and held a portfolio of different government posts. He has affiliations to all three major Somali qabiils.

I met this fellow in Nairobi. He did not strike me as a serious guy.
