Here in Somaliland the people are very strong and they are very determined you will see a poor family that lives on less than 180 dollers a month yet the people are so happy the kids try to learn some work as dish washers in hotels here in hargeysa. The mother might wash clothes for the entire neighborhood and in the evening the kids will go to the mosque and learn quran the imam of the mosque will teach them for free. when president rayaale few years said this country is build on sacrifices he was right. The solders of Somaliland get 160 dollers a month its not much walahi if they stop me with the car i give them 10 bucks they got jokes some times they will say waryaa khalidow marna waad na si marta marna waad na so marta afurki bal no dhiib or sometimes this dude was a joker he said war khalidow kabahayga ma arkaysa balash bay u bahanyihin 2000 shilling baan siiyey. I have also noticed the middle class here in hargeysa is comming up back in the days we only had the rich elites and the poor now there is a middle class coming up our people waligood ax odhan mayaan wa dad adag waleh . What i real like about them is the poorest person here in Somaliland wants to act as if he is a king they will keep their heads high no matter what. Some folks work in 3 different companies here in hargeysa it seems like every one wants to drive a landcruiser or a little jeep xita dan yarta the people with minumum income.

I very much doubt the wishful conclusion presented on this thread!

We know now how the good people in the north try to escape the hardship reality by risking their lives in Libya's hot-Arabian-desert. and many of them may not make the walking journey alive. I say, We can all wish good but the harsh reality is far far far away.

Plus, Sea-men who came to the UK in the 60s are still living in Cardiff in their thousands. Many other Millions joined in later years claiming refugees from Hargeysa and they are Still there. I must not forget KHALID ALI and his dreamers crew are still there too and still refusing to relocate in Hargeysa.


Those who are in Hargeysa want to escape and those who are in the west, refuse to go back... Is this Strong or weak? I leave you to it...

Coming to the ewest is all overated yes people all want better lives who doesent but the people in somaliland are really something they are very creative. Lots of diaspora members are returrning and making big bucks
