According to that article, local Alshabab authorities declare hyena meat to be halal and immediately people took liking to it and start hunting, trading, and eating its meat.. Personally, never heard anywhere hyena meat being fit for human consumption.

Why it an animal that consumes dead animals?

If it were lions then it would have been understandable but hyena
is pushing the envelop.

eating hyena equates to eating vulture.

You are Abdiwahab, Kismayo has always been known to have more than its lion's share in the 'art' of witchcraft, but this is the first time I ever heard of hyena meat being actually considered a sort of much sought after gourmet there.

Hyena is somehow part of the dog family, dogs, pigs and monkeys have same organ design as the humans. Al-Shabab make what Allah made haram , halal? these guys are not even muslims, i'm wondering who are behind these guys.

No is haram:
Animals with Fangs Narrated Abu Tha'laba: Allah's Apostle forbade the eating of the meat of beasts having fangs. [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 67, Number 438] So wild beasts like Lions, tigers, hyena, wolves, cheetahs, etc are all prohibited unless stated otherwise.

Or is there contradiction in ahaadith?
All fanged animals are haram except for hyena....smh

Amisom and Kenyan troops have been leaving dead Shabab soldiers in the open for wild animals to consume. Shabab members might be eating the Hyena that ate his friend... Waste not want not.

Eat and be eaten what is next Christian meat is Allowed for consumption?

I wonder how long Amisom would remain in Somali soil if that occurred... Go on Shabab eat the Amisom troops too... they will leave the country after one incident.
