Axad, Ogoosto 12, 2012 (HOL) — Mid ka mid ah ciyaaryahannadii Soomaaliya ku matalayay ciyaaraha Olombikada ee London 2012, Maxamed Xasan Maxamed ayaa diiday inay magan-galyo weydiisteen dowladda Britain, isagoo sheegay inay maalinta Talaadada ah ee soo socta ay ku laabanayaan Soomaaliya.

Ciyaaryahanadda Zamzam Maxamed Faarax ayaa horay ugu sheegtay Telefishinka Universal ee xaruntiisu tahay London inay fariimo loogu sheegayo in la dili doono ay heleen, balse ma sheegin inay doonayso inay dib ugu laabato Soomaaliya.

Maxamed Xasan oo ka qaybgalay orodkii 400-mitir ayaa sheegay inaysan doonayn in ay joogaan London, isagoo xusay inay ku laabayaan Soomaaliya xilli uu wareysi siinayay BBC-da qaybta Soomaaliga.

"Hanjabaadyo badan ayaa dhinaca Facebook-ga naloo soo marsiiyay, xitaa waalidkey waa la wacay waxaana loo sheegay in tallaabo la iga qaadi doono markii ay ku laabto Soomaaliya," ayay tiri Zamzam.

Labadan orodyahan ayaa waxay mar kale calanka Soomaaliya kasoo muujiyeen meel ay dunida oo dhanj isugu timid, waxayna Zamzam ay ku dhex socotay garoonka ay ciyaaruhu ka dhacayeen iyadoo xambaasan calanka Soomaaliya.

Sidoo kale, Zamzam oo 21-jira ah ayaa waxay ka qayb-gashay oroddada 400-mitir ee gabadhaha iyadoo ka gashay kaalinta ugu dambeysa, waxayna xirnayd intii uu ay ordaysay dhar asturaya jirkeeda, iyadoo xilliga ay ordaysay soomanayd.

Maxamed oo 20-jir ah ayaa sheegay inay ka go'an tahay inay Soomaaliya dib ugu laabtaan, isagoo sheegay inay jiraan hanjabaadyo soo gaaray, balse aysan marna doonayn inay sumcaddooda iyo midda dalkooda ay xumeeyaan.

Hadalka orodyahannadan ayaa imaanaya iyadoo dhaawanahan ay warbaahinta kala duwan ee Soomaalidu baahinayeen in Zamzam iyo Maxamed ay magan-galyo weydiisteen dowladda Britain.

Bishii Abriil ee sannadkan ayaa waxaa guddoomiyihii Olombikada Soomaaliyeed, Aadan Xaaji Yabaroow (Wiish) iyo guddoomiyihii xiriirka Soomaaliyeed ee kubadda cagta Siciid Maxamuud Nuur (Mugambe) lagu dilay qarax ka dhacay Tiyaartarka Muqdisho, kaasoo ay mas'uuliyaddiisa sheegatay Al-shabaab.

Lets hope these youngsters were not pressured by anyone, to come this seemingly rash decision. I am particularly concerned if the constant media over-coverage of their reported intention to seek asylum as soon as the games were over played any role or worse yet, if they were someway or another coerced by Somali Olympic Committee or other Somali officials for them to head back home and not defect. Whatever the case maybe, We all wish nothing but the best for these Somali Olympians and may Allah bless and protect them wherever they end up. God knows, they have done their best to represent our country and for that we should all thank them.

either they were coherced into going back or it didn't go according to plan for them (meaning england declined there application for asylum and so its time to do damage control) either that, there is no other factor that could've played in to this decision they've made, although somehow i refuse to accept they were forced/pressured by the somali community to stick there word because from what i've gathered from the video about them seeking asylum they clearly made their intentions heard and were not looking to go back no matter what, opportunity came and and they figured might as well make the most out of it by coming up with outrages stories that alshabaab is bullying/threating them on facebook if they were to come back (  me dont think thats the case)

Faraxoos, you are right from one of the interview, in which they made remarks to the effect that they have received life threatening messages for Alshabab elements, it certainly looked as though they were all set to apply for refugee status there in England. Could this have been a some sort of ploy on their part to increase their chances of being accepted as refugees? it could very well have been, but I, for one, am inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and will assume this to be a genuine concern for their own personal safety. For Alshabab to make threats on these youngsters for taking part in the Olympics does not sound to me such a far fetched notion, at all, for as we all know, they, the evil forces of Alshabab, have executed people, whether publicly or by assassination, for far less frivolous reasons.
