Yeah I mean cigarettes not that I've ever smoked them. I wish I had a gift of my ears bleeding whenever I listen to music I'm going to make dua that happens whenever I listen to music intentionally.

Pop music is addictive.

If you want to stop listening, start by focusing on the lyrics. You'll find most music people listen to have trashy sometimes completely repulsive lyrics. I think most people don't actually listen to what's being said.

Don't make dua for your ears to start bleeding. That's... that's effed up.

I don't think strength is something that matters here. You either like it or you don't. If you like it you have to understand why. If you like it even knowing the lyrics and their meanings, then all you need to do is consider their relation to you. Do you actually relate with what's being said? If not, and I think most people don't, then their shouldn't be any vested interest in it.

I think you're making it out to be a bigger deal than it actually is.

Thats the problem bro, most would say they relate to the lyrics one way or another even tho it has no relevance to their existence,
Its difficult for Music and Quran to coexist in the same heart well at least in mine

I judge music on lyrics. If the lyrics are abrasive or repulsive, I find it hard to listen to. Most pop music isn't worth it.

AS YOU SAID I AM ADDICTED TO MUSIC HOW TO STOP IT, the easy method is to listen to quran / online or whatever on your mobile. Now you listen to quran rather listen music. it will help you understand about Islam and laws of Islam and strengthen your Iman.

“Singing is that Sin which has been promised the penalty of fire (Hell) by Allah” he (a.s.) had also recited the following verse of the Holy Qur’an: 1. Singing is a Greater Sin

When Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) said,
“Singing is that Sin which has been promised the penalty of fire (Hell) by Allah” he (a.s.) had also recited the following verse of the Holy Qur’an:

“And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah’s path without knowledge and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement.”
(Surah Luqmān 31:6)
