Why Berbera should be the capital

Berbera compared to other important cities in Somaliland has the most potential and overal would be a better capital then Hargeisa.

The local authority did and are still doing a great job by paving hundreds of roads commercializing the city and it's urban planning , probably planned by the Turks 300 years ago is better then the urban planning of Hargeisa. It's by the gulf of aden and has a deep sea port built by the soviets, another reason for it being the capital since almost everything in the country comes through berbera, cars, abu-walad biscuits, you name it.

It has the potential of no other somali/somaliland city, it can be the doha or dubai in east africa.

With almost 50 miles of empty scarce land by the beach , boasting so much potential to plan and build a city from scratch.

those were the advantage.

The disadvantage is:

The boiling heat
Population

Although both problems can be solved with air conditioning supplied to almost every building.

Personally, i'm looking forward to try and attempt to work in Berbera's planning, wondering if the Jesus Moses brothers will accept a Sa'ad Moses brother

Can't wait till next year when i go to Sland, gonna stay in Berbera alot. :sland:

Berbera waa sauna, Ceeri has much more potential up those mountains. unfortunately, it's isolated. Ceerigaabo - Berbera road (along side the coast) and Ceerigaabo - Burco road would solve this. unfortunately Somalidu waa bilaa caqli.

Ceerigabo's location gives it away, its too close to darod territories, it has no rivers and it has no urban potential at all.

All of those berbera has.

History
Geographic Location
Urban potential (Batalaale's empty land)

Who knows what'll happen in the future, i hope Berbera does end up as the capital if the development of the local authority continues.

Check out these videos.

the govener is more active in construction then silaanyo himself.

Berbera in 1 year saw:

Construction of airport
Construction of stadium
Construction of more then 5 roads
Re-construction of port-surface

Xatta every month Berbera has a cleaning day the city is the cleanest in Sland.

Now it's status is the economical capital of Somaliland

Soon it will be the commercial.

Sxb Without a proper road any town would be considered isolated, beautiful ceeri is the only major town in somaliland which does not have a road running through it

Cities with rivers or a ocean by them should be capitals, Hargeisa's close to our dir brothers Gadabursi, but they are civilized unlike the dhulos who are obsessed with violence.

No, Berbera is desert-ly too hot to inhabit.

Then another one could also argue and say : "Hargeysa is desert-ly too dry with no water". which I guess is also true.

OK
