That cause those old-fashioned mothers used to give their daughters to their cousins, and whatever he does, he would get away with it.

Miskeen, you live up to your screen name. No cops, you hit my child I get you whacked.

Yeah executive, I agree. They hated causing 'trouble' in the family. Sad.

Be patient..... this must be a joke.....husband who beats you....I never had that issue....mine never would since he is a grown man... But when I was a kid if a boy hit me, I always beat him up and they would never do it again. No excuse for letting someone hit you. Beat him up or at least slap him across the face or get the broom. He will never hit you again. It always teaches them a lesson and they will always treat you with respect/fear afterwards. That is how you deal with boys who can't behave.

But It is very sad if your husband still acts like a kid......he should be able to use his words to win the argument. You might want to look for a new husband that is a grown man.

Well there was the story/haddith about the woman whose dad was dying but her husband said it was bedroom time, chick went along with it, by the time she goes to see her father he is dead, she cries on his dead body and she goes to heaven because of her patience.

So you can see where such advice comes from.

  Wallahi you made me laugh. I actually asked a religious (super Salafi) auntie of mine about this (without mentioning that it was a hadith) and she visibly shook and kept saying 'acuudbillahi, acuudubillahi...why would I stay with such a man and so on. I nearly cried when I read that hadith, what a horrible man. I think he would have killed her or something if she left because thats not a nice story/parable to retell.

  I used to hit boys back in school days too until they started thinking I was tougher than I am and tried 'rushing me'. I didnt have a gang so I squealed on them, f-king bastards.

Maternal cousin only after second cousins. Father side, big no.

Is that Islamicaly speaking, or Somalily? I've never actually looked into this, but have wondered. I've always thought it would've been the other way around.

Alhamdulillah I have never had to fight a boy or a man. I know for a fact I would lose that battle, one day I was walking down the street and this guy moved his arm at the last minute to signal something and gacantiisa aa garabka iiga dhadey and I was in paaaiinn, he didn't even do it on purpose, now imagine a punch in the face on purpose from a man  I would be on the floor, forget feminist bullcrap, run!
