did your friend say there were a lot of other somalis there? the college i go to right now is predominately white  and not diverse whatsoever. by attending an hbcu i will be doing a 180° turn in my social life.

they should really make colleges where each race is equally represented. now thats equality

It will be impossible to have colleges where each race is equally represented. The economic inequality and disparity in America is quite high. Most of the Universities are predominately white and since the tuition is just getting higher, expect to see less minorities in universities.

Time for me to get my diploma and run home. :D

definitely agree with getting my diploma and running back home. but it's not economic inequality. it wouldn't make sense to represent each race equally thats just fantasy right there because thats not how the US' population is. Some top schools, namely duke university, try to have each freshmen class' demographics match the demographics of the united states. now thats a system that can work
