How many more Muslims are we going to lose in Mombasa?

Dear brothers,

“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return”
The killing of our brother Sheikh Aboud Rogo was shocking to Muslims in Mombasa, Kenya and all East Africans. People in Mombasa demanded from the government to investigate and find the killer(s) of the Sheikh.

I called on the people of Mombasa to be patient with the process of finding the killer(s) and asked them to stop those who are calling for a “Fitna” between Muslims and non-Muslims. I wanted to remind my Muslim brothers of the verse from Quran that Allah says: “the fitnah is worse than killing”.

MY Muslim brothers, I would like to pose these questions: what kind of gains that Muslims will get from the current conflict? Is it going to cause more harms than goods? How this will impact our Muslim community today?

In conclusion, we already lost our Sheikh and we are continuously losing more brothers since. I think it’s time for us to re-think our methods in finding those who committed this heinous crime.
