What do we know about it? since the JSL parliamentary election is around the corner in november.


1.Must be atleast 25 years of age.

2.Must be somebody who is a Muslim and whose clan reside in Somaliland.

3.Must receive at least 3 thousand votes or more to be a MP? for example how will the Arab ethnic group in Somaliland who number no more than a thousand
get it?



Care to share the other requirements or correct the ones i have stated if you know (no trolls).

- must have a degree
- must have not committed a crime
- must not chew
- must have resided in somaliland for atleat 3 years
- must declare his full assets, inside somaliland and outside

Must not chew? i don't think that is part of the requirement. I am anti khat but what goes in one's private life is their business as long as they are fit for the job.
I hope Somalilanders choose more effective MPs in this upcoming parliamentary elections, people who are dedicated to helping the communities that voted
for them like Xildhibaan Nacnac. Do you know some of the roads built in Ahmed Dhagax district of Hargeysa he paid it from his own pockets?

Is being a Habar Yoonis lo-jir one of them?

It is as they are Somalilanders. Being a Boon though is a big no.

High School diploma, not degree
Parents born in Somaliland before 1960, they don't need to reside in Somaliland for three years just paternal side must be Somaliland.
Doesn't have to declare assets.
Most of the parliament are chewers of the green leaf are you kidding me

I swear it was High School not college, was the education requirement switched in the bill that made it 25 instead or 35 for age requirement.

I think the Parliament is 35
and the local council is 25

Before 1969 your likes were considered untouchables in Somaliland , don't let me remind you of the famous story of that happened in Hargeysa, where
all the locals were horrified one of the locals bringing one of your own and even made sure to clean the cups lol.
