The candidates that will make it to the final round.

Post by zingii »

In my observation, the arguments some members of this board were making for quite some time fall in line with the conclusion I my self have finally reached. If we go by the stories and fantasies sold to us by the competing candidates, there is no denying only two stood out, and out shined their competitors. The reason I used the word fantasy is because many of the candidates could only make promises that only God knows if they will keep them. On the other hand the two I believe would advance to the final, have already planted the seeds of which we are already reaping their fruits. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls and readers of this board, your top 2 candidates who will square off for the top seat would be (BAADIYOW & FARMAAJO) God willing.

Baadiyow built the biggest university in our country with the help of fellow Somalis in three cities. Today the University hosts over 10,000 students. Thousands more Graduated from it and are now using the knowledge they have gained to help their people and nation.

Farmaajo made the military more efficient by covering their needs as service men and that of their families. If a soldier died while serving the country his family got looked after for the first time in a long time. When he took office there wasn’t a single dollar in the governments vault and when he resigned in few months, he left behind over 7 million dollars. He made sure Members of Parliament got paid which was also unknown and taboo in previous governments etc.

The same could not be said about the rest and are only making promises which could go bust for all we know.
My prediction ofcouse depends on whether the MP's give their vote based on whats good for the nation and who the people support OR vote for whoever bribes them with handsome money.

Here was my top 3 list initially but after listening to Baadiyow the other 2 had to be discarded.

Oomar and Samatar are out and Baadiyow is in now.

Oomar gave a speech like no other.
Samatar proposed ways to better govern.

In my top 3 list, my decision was based on their speeches and not on their ability to win the ellection.
Although they are qualified for the duty, the odds are stocked up against them in terms of support.

Farmaajo has the support of the people but would that translate to MP support aswell????
