I told a friend an Islamist got elected and dude said "we are not ready for violence and more bombing"

I had to check him cus our friendship was on the line for a sec but im seeing so many comments I would expect from fox news from so called somali youth (70 virgins, Islamic terrorism....) and so much Islamaphobes rhetorics.

Your friend is a dumb ass and I'm embarrassed for you to call him a friend.

He apologized though and said he wasn't thinking straight....watching too much propaganda has conditioned him.

No seriously he is a dumb ass and somebody needs to check him. An Islamist is a scholar who knowledgeable in Islamic studies. How the hell is he going to associate Islamic studies with bombing? He is a self hating asshole. And I hate these fobs who think it's cool throwing stones at our beautiful religion.

lol, advo your the one who is at fault for describing him as "islamist". Remember one thing, Islamist means terrorist, and religious extremist. This is the most common definition and usage of the word, so no shit he thought terrorist. If you said to your friend we got a good muslim leader who is associated with muslim groups in the country, I guarantee you he would have a very positive reaction.
