This is a man you can call a uniter; may he succeed and help Somalia transition fully into good permanent governance
I also think he serves as an example to the rest of us, those of us who are not enthusiastic about him because of qabiil as well as those who are enthusiastic because of qabiil; we have a broken system and a country that needs repairing and it is not going to be repaired through civil war division and lenses...this is a moment for unity, for support, for partnership and friendship, and a moment of ideas to bring back the Somali state. Ilaahay guul hasiiyo amiin

I wholeheartedly agree. I am one of those who prayed for a change when the vote took place, hoping that the somali parlament would continue living up to the expectations of the majority of Somalis. I was heartened when I read his statement on the kenyan foreign minister.
after having studied him, he comes over very populist and he is a consensus builder in other words we have a another obama on our hands.
mark my word this guy will move as slow as a snail, he doest have the revolutionary spirit because he knows the consiquince of acting outside the political order
his islamist background has set off a lot of alarm bells around many influential security institution around the world
the west has already put him on on notice for they were not aware of his rise ( the akwanist in somalia tricked the international community with the election)
guys like these their time is consumed by bureaucrats, advisers, appeasing political opponents and building confidence with the international powers that be.
soon you wiil see dual track policy taking a pre-eminent position in western powers foreign policy, while arabs take more interest in the central government and less with federal states.
his first test will be kismaayo, he will appease J/landers, even though he is against jubaland as a state but, he will do that to appeas the west indirectly, sharif style)
he will be pragmatic up-to the point were he will compromise allot on key issues, that will haunt him latter in his presidency, his clan constituency will be the biggest losers( the burden of the presidency on clan constituency is big, only if somalis knew they would avoid presidency)
one thing I have noticed is that he has the charm that western liberals fall for
I like this picture, he will have more success with western diplomats rather then with security and policy officials in pentagon and MOD ( liberals dominate diplomatic institution )
This the guy he needs to charm John O. Brennan 5th United States Homeland Security Advisor.
JB can see through smoke screens, any connection between the president’s charity work and global terrorism will be sought and that will be taken into consideration when formulating a policy
